With iMotion HD you can create time-lapse and stop-motion video in your classroom, on campus, or anywhere. Use it capture classroom activities, sports events, lab experiments, art activities like drawing and sculpting, or for student projects. iMotion HD captures stills images with the iPad or iPhone camera and stiches them together to create a videos. You can capture square 720×720 video by holding the iPad in a portrait orientation or HD 720p 1280×720 video in landscape orientation.
iMotion HD offers four movie capture modes; time-lapse with 1 second to 1 day capture rates, manual for stop-motion, microphone for capturing frames when sound reaches above a certain noise threshold, and remote for capturing images from a remote iPad or iPhone.
Download the free iMotion Remote app to turn your iPhone or another iPad into a remote control for iMotion HD. This allows you to set up your iPad in one place and use your iPhone or another iPad remotely to preview and remotely take images. Use it to make sure you don’t shake the iPad when taking stop-motion images, or set up the iPad in one location and monitor it from another. The only stipulation is that both devices be on the same wifi network.
Once you have captures your video you can edit it by reviewing frame by frame, delete unwanted frames, and set the frames-per-second for your video (from 1 fps to 30 fps). You can export your movie to the photo library, post it on Facebook or YouTube, or email it right from the app.
