Clinometer HD is an inclinometer for the iPad that uses its three inbuilt accelerometers to measure angles and slopes. Great for math and science classes, this app will allow students to accurately measure the angles of real word objects. 

When placed on a flat surface or held parallel to the floor the level bubble is displayed. Hold the iPad upright and place the edge of the iPad up against any surface to get an accurate measure of the angle of the object.

The app can be calibrated by placing the iPad on any flat level surface and pressing the calibrate button. Measurement units include rounded degrees, degrees, percent rounded, present, and rise over run. There is a lock feature which, when activated, will lock the measurement in, essentially freezing the screen, so the iPad can be moved, making it easier to takes notes on measurements.

The developer is in the process of making an iPhone and iPod Touch version of this app and while in development is offering the iPad app for free. Afterwards the app will no longer be free so get it now.
