What is the HSPT Practice Test for Seventh Graders?
Saint Mary’s will be hosting an opportunity for seventh graders to participate in a Seventh Grade HSPT Practice Test on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
POSTPONED- Due to the shelter in place, this event has been postponed. Currently, our faculty and staff are focused on meeting students’ academic needs with our distance learning program and keeping our community connected. We will publish an update on June 1, 2020. Thank you for your patience and be well.
This practice test is intended to help students become more familiar with the different sections of the HSPT, especially under timed conditions. Space is limited to 125 spaces.
For those families who register for Seventh Grade Day:
♦ A reminder email will be sent to all registered participants by mid April. Results of the practice test will be mailed home to families in early May as a tool for them to assess their child’s personal strengths and allow for enough time to concentrate on areas of growth before taking the genuine test.
♦ The results will include academic suggestions from Saint Mary’s for improvement in reading, writing, and mathematics, if needed. Test results are strictly confidential and are not sent to the student’s school or kept at Saint Mary’s College High School. Exam results will not be mailed to the student’s current school.
♦ Parents are invited to attend the morning welcome and overview in the auditorium. Once students have been directed to classrooms, members of the Saint Mary’s administration and staff will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to meet and greet parents and answer any questions about Saint Mary’s and its program.
♦ All materials are provided by Saint Mary’s. Students may want to bring something to read while they are waiting or if they finish a section of the test early.
Lunch will be provided. Registration on the day of the test begins at 8 am and testing will conclude by 12:15 pm.
